Ruger 57 Extension Assembly Instructions
The following actions should be done by a qualified gun smith to prevent damage or injury.
Step 1: Insert a dowel into the bottom of the magazine depressing the circular retention plate to allow the magazine floor plate to slide away from the magazine body.
CAUTION: The floor plate is under spring tension, make sure to put your thumb over the bottom of the magazine while sliding the floor plate off. Doing this with your thumb will prevent the spring from flying into the air and possibly causing injury.
Step 2: Slide off the OEM floor plate while holding down the spring with your thumb to slowly release the spring pressure.
Step 3: Remove spring and follower.
Step 4: slide the magazine body onto the extention
Step 5:Slide the retaining plate on to the back of the magazine extension until it is fully seated.
Step 6: Insert the follower and spring into the magazine assembly
Step 7: Slide the floor plate onto the mag extension
